The great God who is present in the magnificent temple is also the God who stole my heart. He appears half female (Siva and Sakti) wearing the pure white crescent moon on his head and seated on a pure white 'nandhi'. He also wears the ashes of the cremation ground. He also forgave Brahma when he pleaded for forgiveness
